Rick received a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu program in Pasadena in 2001 with a perfect attendance record. Before leaving culinary school, he had already worked for Wolfgang Puck and Pinot Bistro / Patina Catering Group, working with Chef Joachim Splichal and Chef Octavio Becerra.
From there he moved on to work as Sous Chef at The Harvest Restaurant. He began working at Saddle Peak Lodge in 2008 as Chef De Cuisine and was instrumental in getting an excellent review for the restaurant from S. Irene Virbila – L.A. Times.
In 2012 he began work as a Private Chef at a private estate in Camarillo. He was responsible for purchasing and preparing food for a family.
In 2014 he held a Chef De Cuisine position at Malibu Beach Recovery Center. He was in charge of menu design, meal planning, special diets, and food ordering. At this time he also did catering and was a private chef for celebrities, including musician Tom Petty and professional baseball player Ryan Braun.
Rick is hoping to continue as a private chef, preparing quality cuisine and dining experiences.Book Chef
